The tour, titled “Celebrating Life Through Death”, marks not only the band’s 40th anniversary, but also their goodbye to the stage.
In an extraordinary meeting held on February 6, Eloy informed the band and managers of his decision to leave Sepultura. The news took everyone by surprise, without prior notice or discussions about the transition.
The band expressed their surprise and respect for Eloy’s decision, but also the need to move forward.mIn Eloy Casagrande’s place, Sepultura welcomes American drummer Greyson Nekrutman. Greyson takes on the drumsticks with enthusiasm, as it will be a huge challenge to maintain the band’s legacy during this historic tour.
Andreas Kisser, Derrick Green and Paulo Xisto, founding members of Sepultura, signed a joint statement expressing their gratitude for the 40-year journey and their confidence in the new member.
