Ewan McGregor, the Scottish actor who brought the legendary Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi to life, is making a plea to “Obi-Wan Kenobi” fans. In a panel during MegaCon Orlando last Saturday, the actor said that he hopes to return to the role he played in the prequel trilogy and the Disney + series of the same name.

“We were very happy with what we managed to do and the way everything turned out; initially, the idea was to make a film, but I think it was great that we did it this way. It’s a longer story and with more satisfactory results, with more time to tell the story”, added McGregor. “I hope we can do another one. Could anyone here write to Disney? I’ll leave some emails from people at Disney at the end [of the panel]. Just write ‘Dear Disney, let’s do some more Obi- Wan Kenobi, please'”, joked the actor.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” marked Ewan McGregor’s triumphant return to the role he previously played in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. With six episodes full of action, drama and nostalgia, the series transported us to a galaxy far, far away, a decade after the events of “Revenge of the Sith”. We follow Obi-Wan watching young Luke Skywalker on the arid planet Tatooine.

Hayden Christensen, who plays Darth Vader, has also expressed interest in returning: “I loved continuing to play this character. There are certainly other things to explore, and it would be exciting to continue to do so.”

May the Force be with Obi-Wan Kenobi fans.
