Brad Pitt to star in Quentin Tarantino’s last film: The Movie Critic

Brad Pitt has been chosen to star in renowned director Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, titled “The Movie Critic.” This collaboration will mark the third time these two talented artists have worked together. Previously, Pitt won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” and also starred in the acclaimed film “Inglourious Basterds.”

Sony Pictures will be the studio responsible for distributing the film, scheduled for release in 2025. Tarantino, known for his unique and bold approach to cinema, revealed some intriguing details about the plot during the Cannes Film Festival. According to him, “The Movie Critic” will be set in California in 1977 and will be based on a real character who used to write film reviews for an adult publication. The inspiration for the film goes back to Tarantino’s own past, when he worked as a pornographic magazine delivery man and came across a sarcastic and intelligent film critic.

Although the project does not yet have a studio set, Sony Pictures is one of the main possibilities, considering its previous collaboration with the filmmaker on “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.” The film grossed US$377 million worldwide and received 10 Oscar nominations, winning two Oscars.
