Live-Action “Yu Yu Hakusho” Gets Trailer and Release Date on Netflix

Fans of the legendary battle-action manga/anime series Yu Yu Hakusho have reason to rejoice! After more than 30 years since its initial publication, the highly anticipated live-action adaptation is finally coming to Netflix.

What’s the Story?

Yu Yu Hakusho follows the journey of Yusuke Urameshi, a rebellious teenager who dies while saving a young boy from a speeding car. In the afterlife, he encounters Botan, who guides him to the spirit world. There, Yusuke learns that his death was premature and unexpected. However, due to his selfless act, he’s given a chance at redemption. As an Underworld Detective, he investigates demons and supernatural occurrences in the human world.

In the recently released teaser, we witness a car accident that leads to Yusuke’s untimely demise. Standing over his own lifeless body, he realizes he’s dead. But his journey is far from over. Meeting Koenma, the ruler of the spirit world, Yusuke receives an offer: return to life as an Underworld Detective. The teaser sets the stage for the thrilling adventures that await.

Release Date
